Questions?

What kind of Patch are you?

We are a pre-picked patch provided by some of the best farms in the world which are right here in Colorado. We are actually glad we don’t make you hike for miles to find the right one. All our variety of pumpkins and gourds are available at our “Pumpkin Patch” on path near admissions/exit. We count it an advantage by having many variety of choices compared to many places and having them in a convenient spot to get the pumpkin experience which can include getting pictures or just having fun shopping for the best pumpkin. Some prefer to walk miles in a patch to find the pumpkin in the growing field but please understand that our “patch” is not spread in a growing field. While you might walk miles enjoying the 20 acres of open space and fun we provide, our pumpkins are brought to our farm from the best pumpkin growers in the world. Professional farms in Colorado providing a much better product than our 40 acre farm could. We enjoy having their product and putting it in one “patch” area so you can enjoy the abundance. *During late season we do start to run low on supplies but we usually do not run out and are the last to have a choice to pick from thanks to the great growers we work with.

What does that mean?

We bring the pumpkins in from large farms in Colorado where they grow much better at lower altitude. This assures you a great selection of pumpkins and no big, messy, plowed field. We create a patch play area to enjoy. After some play time, pick a pumpkin on the way out. For your convenience, the pumpkins are near the entrance and not far from your car.

Will your pumpkin supply always be stellar?

We do a great job of supplying the patch with a collection of pumpkins based on what the Colorado weather provides. The best time for selection is between October 1st and 20th. In the last couple weeks of the patch, specialty pumpkins run low. If you show up on the last few days of October hoping to see a field of orange you might be surprised, we try to keep a good selection through closing day as much as we can.

Do you have scary Halloween activities?

Please feel free to wear a costume out to the Patch. We love the fun fall theme but try to stay away from the scary theme. Part of that is because we want to remain a family friendly and kid themed place. The other piece of that is because we believe there is enough fear in the world and we want to promote fun instead of fear. The only time we hear kids scream is when they are going down the big hay slide!

What are your hours?

We are open Tuesday through Sunday. See our Times/Prices for specifics.

What are your group prices?

We do offer group prices. See our Times/Prices page for the latest update on pricing.

Can we bring food into the Patch?

Yes, you may bring your own food into the Patch. We do have a snack/drink concession stand that is available everyday, as well as a hot food concession stand open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Do you have a place to eat?

We have picnic tables available. If they are full, there is PLENTY of open ground that can be used for picnic style snacks or lunches.

Do you have anything organized for birthdays or special groups?

Not currently on the weekends. If you want to have a party during a weekday, we can reserve a table for you. We hope to have a facility in the future that will help provide better birthdays options.

Is there a time limit?

You can stay for as long as we are open. Our hours are 9-5PM most days, although it does vary on weekdays. Feel free to roam, play, relax and enjoy your time. Most people stay for about 2+ hours.
